Akira takes fellow student Yoshioka to his home by the sea for a holiday so as to get closer to him, but two female friends from his high school days make things complicated. With his directorial debut, Ren SUDO proves that he is one of the most promising young talents of queer independent cinema in Japan.

About Ren SUDO
須藤蓮

Ren SUDO was born in Tokyo in 1996. While studying law at Keio University, he began working as a model and actor. He has been in a number of films and TV dramas since 2017, including LITTLE MISS PERIOD (2019 / NC ’20) and KAMATA PRELUDE (2020 / NC ’21). His directorial debut BACKLIGHT (2021) was screened at Nippon Connection in 2022. ABYSS (2023 / NC ’24) is his second feature film.
