映画祭プロフィール

日本映画祭「ニッポン・コネクション」は日本映画に関する世界最大のプラットフォームであり、毎年初夏6日に亘りドイツのフランクフルト市内の劇場（Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm, NAXOS, Kino des DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum, Mal Seh’n Kino, Eldorado Arthouse Kino）を始めとする複数の会場で開催されます。当映画祭は厳選された映画プログラムや文化プログラムを通じて、伝統から現代に至るまで日本の多彩な面を紹介します。第24回ニッポン・コネクション日本映画祭は、2024年5月28日―6月2日にドイツ・フランクフルトで開催されます。

2023年には1万8500人を越える来場者視聴者が映画祭に参加しました。当映画祭は2000年に設立され、NPO法人ニッポン・コネクションの、主にボランティアで活動するチームによって運営されています。2023年にはヘッセン州科学芸術大臣、フランクフルト市長氏及び在フランクフルト日本国総領事館にご後援いただきました。

映画プログラム

日本は世界で最も革新的で多様性をもった映画製作国の一つです。ニッポン・コネクションは、毎年100本あまりの日本映画の上映を通じて、多彩な表情を見せる日本映画の”今”を伝えています。上映作品のラインアップは、劇映画以外にも短編映画やドキュメンタリー映画、アニメ映画を含み、その大半は当映画祭で、ドイツ、ヨーロッパ、または日本国外での初公開を迎えるものです。

毎年大勢の監督、俳優、あるいはプロデューサーなどの映画人が、映画祭にて自ら作品を紹介し質疑応答に応じます

映画祭では、ニッポン・ライジングスター・アワード、ニッポン・シネマ賞、ニッポン・ヴィジョンズ審査員賞、ニッポン・ヴィジョンズ観客賞、ニッポン・ドックス賞という5つの賞を設けています。

文化プログラム

映画上映に加え「ニッポン・カルチャー」部門では、50以上の多岐にわたるプログラムで日本文化を体験することができます。例えば、茶道、料理教室、パフォーマンス、展覧会、ワークショップ、レクチャー、パネルディスカッション、コンサートや子供向けプログラムなどを提供しています。

また、様々なバーや屋台でお寿司、ラーメン等、美味しい日本料理を用意しています。また、多くのブースが本、映画、雑貨や工芸品を出店しています。
