NIPPON CINEMA AWARD ª

The festival will give out the NIPPON CINEMA AWARD for the 18th time. The endowment of 2,000 € is donated by Bankhaus Metzler in Frankfurt. All films in the NIPPON CINEMA section that were produced in Japan or by Japanese directors since 2022 and that will at least have their German premiere at the festival are eligible for the competition. The audience can choose their favorite out of all the competing films. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 7:45 p.m. at Mousonturm Saal.
