Upon his return from the areas of conflict in Southeast Asia, former war photographer Yasu marries manga artist Yuki. Struggling with the memories of war, his outbursts of violence increase with his alcohol dependence. After Yuki leaves him, Yasu goes back to live with his mother. WANDERING HOME is the empathetic portrait and true story of an alcoholic fighting against his addiction.

About Yoichi HIGASHI

Yoichi HIGASHI, born in 1934, studied at Waseda University and began his film career at Iwanami Productions. In 1969 he made his feature film debut OKINAWA ISLANDS. He won the Mainichi Award in 1993 with A RIVER WITH NO BRIDGE and his film VILLAGE OF DREAMS won the Silver Bear at the 1996 Berlinale.
