An editor arrives at a Sumo village to find the missing award-nominated writer Deko just in time to bring him to an award ceremony. There, the editor learns that Deko’s weird friends have been desperately trying to kill him because of the book Deko wrote about their embarrassing memories. Despite their countless attempts at murder, Deko’s dumbness keeps him from even noticing his friends’ intentions.

About Hideaki HOSONO
細野ひで晃

Hideaki HOSONO (aka Mr. Hide), born in Düsseldorf in 1973, studied film at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He began his career as a director of commercials and music videos, which won numerous awards. In 2006 he founded the production company AYTORA ENTERTAINMENT. DUMBEAST is his feature film debut.
