Rei finds herself pursued by voices, preventing her from eating or sleeping. The only thing that makes her feel some- what better is alcohol. While trying to buy a bottle of wine on Valentine’s Day, she meets Takatoshi, a truck driver. She is immediately drawn to him and decides to join him on his route. In the process, she not only comes closer to Takatoshi, but also to herself. For the role of Rei, NIPPON HONOR AWARD recipient Shinobu TERAJIMA won the Blue Ribbon Award in 2003.
