The documentary focuses on the life of the hula performers of the Spa Resort Hawaiian in Iwaki, Fukushima, after the earthquake in 2011 and their struggle to rebuild the resort. In 2006 Masaki KOBAYASHI already shot a making-of to the movie HULA GIRLS (Sang-il LEE), which was based on the story of the girls.

About Masaki KOBAYASHI (II)

Masaki KOBAYASHI was born in 1966. After his studies he worked for the production company TV MAN UNION. He has made a variety of documentaries, dramas and promotional videos. SKI JUMPING PAIRS – ROAD TO TORINO 2006 was his feature film debut.
