Ryosuke HASHIGUCHI

Hush!

Nippon Cinema   ª

Katsuhiro is gay and hides it so well that his disabled work colleague is determined to conquer him. But his heart belongs to Naoya, his newly found partner. Asako works in a dental laboratory and is labeled an outsider because of her promiscuity, depression and her quick-tempered nature. When she accidentally meets Katsuhiro and Naoya, a plan germinates in her that gives her new life energy: Katsuhiro must become the father of her child! While the two men uncertainly consider whether this is the right thing for them, the family and the rejected lover mobilize all their forces to prevent such a "strange" community. Avoiding gay clichés or silly comedy, HUSH! tells of attempts to go down paths in a regulated society that do not correspond to the presdefined ones.
