On a hot summer day a schoolgirl spends her last day with her friends before moving to another town. A game of dodgeball starts and two boys fight for her attention. For DODGE BALL IN HEAT, Tomoyuki FURUMAYA was awarded the Grand Prix of the PIA Film Festival in 1992. His following films BAD COMPANY (2001 / NC ´03) and SAYONARA MIDORI-CHAN (2005) have also won numerous awards.

Tomoyuki FURUMAYA was born in Nagano Prefecture in 1968. After studying law, he studied film at Nihon University. He worked as an assistant director for Shinji AOYAMA and Kunitoshi MANDA, among others.
