Hazy Life

Nippon Cinema   ª

HAZY LIFE is a wonderful little charming film about two hopeless boys who meet in front of an arcade somewhere in Osaka. Both are unemployed and without plans for their future. They become friends and hang out together. They dream of a different life, but they do not change anything. Nobuhiro YAMASHITA's low-budget film is one of the most interesting films of the last year. With little effort and two terrific leading actors (Hiroshi YAMAMOTO, Teppei UDA) he creates a gripping atmosphere that has never been seen in any slacker film before.
