The literal meaning of shodo is “the Way of Writing”. In her impressive performance, Lanka ABE will use all the strength of her body to paint Japanese characters on paper with a large calligraphy brush. A shodo artist, she has been living in the Netherlands since 2018 and has received numerous awards for her works.
